Sono nato nel New Jersey in una famiglia italiana molto vivace e amorevole. Sono sempre stato interessato alla storia personale delle persone e intervistavo amici e parenti su tutto, dalle loro origini, ai loro sogni, fino a come preparare le polpette.
I was born in New Jersey into a very lively and loving Italian family. I've always been interested in people's personal stories and would interview friends and family about everything from their origins to their dreams, even how to make meatballs.

Ero anche una pattinatrice artistica e una nuotatrice agonista e, quando non ero impegnata in attività sportive, trascorrevo la domenica pomeriggio seduta al tavolo della sala da pranzo a scrivere delle ultime notizie a scuola, nel quartiere o a casa. Amavo anche la danza, la musica e l'arte, ed ero ossessionata da Leonardo Di Vinci.
I was also a figure skater and a competitive swimmer, and when I wasn't playing sports, I spent Sunday afternoons sitting at the dining room table writing about the latest news from school, the neighborhood, or home. I also loved dance, music, and art, and I was obsessed with Leonardo di Vinci.

Naturalmente, questa curiosità mi ha portato a intraprendere una carriera nel giornalismo, scrivendo per giornali locali e ottenendo infine il mio primo lavoro televisivo come reporter e conduttrice ad Atlantic City, nel New Jersey, occupandomi di criminalità, casinò, star del cinema e gangster. Ho lavorato anche alla stazione PBS WNET/NJN a New York e New Jersey e a News 12 Long Island, prima di trasferirmi a Los Angeles per il lavoro radiofonico di mio marito e, infine, per il mio in TV.
Naturally, this curiosity led me to a career in journalism, writing for local newspapers and eventually landing my first television job as a reporter and anchor in Atlantic City, New Jersey, covering crime, casinos, movie stars, and gangsters. I also worked at PBS station WNET/NJN in New York and New Jersey and at News 12 Long Island before moving to Los Angeles for my husband's radio job and, eventually, my own TV job.

I landed at KCAL9 News, then Fox11 LA and CNN, where I covered live breaking news, entertainment, business, and sports. I've covered everything from trials (including the OJ trial) to movie premieres, fires, floods, celebrities, and much more.

Per me, essere giornalista significa informare la comunità, e l'ho sempre considerato un privilegio e una responsabilità. Amo le persone che lavorano in questo settore e molti dei miei colleghi rimangono i miei amici più cari.
For me, being a journalist means informing the community, and I've always considered it both a privilege and a responsibility. I love the people who work in this industry, and many of my colleagues remain my dearest friends.

Dopo essermi presa una pausa per crescere i miei tre figli, ero pronta a tornare al lavoro, ma ho deciso di mettere da parte le ultime notizie per dedicarmi a interviste più approfondite e storie di impatto sociale. Così ho creato due podcast audio/video in live streaming: Deborah Kobylt LIVE e The Little Italy Podcast, intervistando ospiti di ogni estrazione sociale da tutto il mondo. Creare e condurre i miei programmi mi ha anche dato l'opportunità di ottenere sponsorizzazioni e di entrare in contatto con tante persone meravigliose. Ora ho ampliato il mio lavoro al public speaking, organizzando festival cinematografici e letterari, conferenze e altro ancora. Ho anche creato un'attività di formazione sui media di nicchia, dove aiuto le persone a presentarsi al meglio.
After taking a break to raise my three children, I was ready to return to work, but I decided to put breaking news aside to focus on more in-depth interviews and stories of social impact. So I created two live-streaming audio/video podcasts: Deborah Kobylt LIVE and The Little Italy Podcast, interviewing guests from all walks of life around the world. Creating and hosting my own programs has also given me the opportunity to secure sponsorships and connect with so many wonderful people. I've now expanded my work to include public speaking, organizing film and literary festivals, conferences, and more. I've also created a niche media training business, where I help people present themselves at their best.

Nel corso del mio percorso, mi sono cimentato nella recitazione, quindi potete trovarmi nell'ultimo film di Nightmare On Elm Street. Mi esibisco anche nei comedy club di Los Angeles, dove sto testando materiale per un libro che sto scrivendo. Mi piace viaggiare, andare in spiaggia, andare in bicicletta e fare escursioni, e ho completato le maratone di Los Angeles e New York.
Along the way, I've dabbled in acting, so you can find me in the latest Nightmare on Elm Street movie. I also perform at comedy clubs in Los Angeles, where I'm testing material for a book I'm writing. I enjoy traveling, going to the beach, biking, and hiking, and I've completed the Los Angeles and New York marathons.
